MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!: Carrack Shakedown Cruise
BRIEFING:
Soon our new flagship "De Brandenburg" explorer class Carrack will arrive from Anvil Aerospace!
Before we send her out to the unknown regions of the 'verse we'd like to give her a proper shakedown to test out the brand new quantum drive, longe range scanners and such. For this cruise we have chosen Crusaders moon Yela to test out several parts of the bridge.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Find Benny Henge!
Deep within the asteroid belt of the Yela moon, are several hidden places to be found. The first one we are aiming for is the well known, but very hard to find "Benny Henge". A small joke, hidden on one of the asteroids.
Goal is to offer 1 of the Greycat buggie's to the Benny Henge Gods. To please them and hopefully will bring us luck and fortune! We will continue to do this with every new explorer ship our fleet will obtain!
SECONDARY: Find Starfarer Wreck
Word is that there is a MISC Starfarer gone missing in the vast asteroid belt of Yela. Probably been attacked by Nine Tails. We have been asked to locate this wreck and find the missing, probably dead crew.
TERTIARY OBJECTIVE: Retrieve 1SCU Medical Supplies
While we are out searching for one of the first two objectives, our away team will be send out on a mission to retrieve a box of medical supplies needed on the Brandenburg.
note: away ship needs to be owned by pilot in order to retrieve needed supplies!
MISSION REPORT: 03-03-3950
The mission started exactly on time 9pm. All crew was complete and on time. So we left Everus Harbor heading for Crusaders moon Yela with a fully geared up ship.
Once we arrived at Crusader, we had a little problem with our navigation, wanting us to directly fly into the Stanton sun ... Engineering had to look into that and and was a minor setting that needed to be tweaked. We had to plot a little detour to a comm-array in order to make the jump to Yela.
From Yela we needed to go to Grim Hex. It is where we had to set our bearing for the coordinates to our primary goal of this mission; Find Benny's Henge!
As soon as we arrived at Grim, we got attacked. Luckily i ordered my crew to man all turrets and pay attention before we jumped to Grim. and with some help from a team member who was around we managed to stand of the attack and continue our quest!
a small 30k computer error made us reset all settings and we had to return to our bearing point Grim Hex, to start over the search.
Then beautiful team play emerged and we found a way to work together and find the location where the Henge was hidden on an astroid. We celebrated and everybody went off ship to visit The Henge themselves! As promised we offered A greyCat buggy to the Henge, took some pictures and. then called it a day. We had a drink in the mess hall, and officially named her "The Brandenburg".
